The scent of fresh roses - sweet, distinctive floral, with a soft citrus highlight and a subtle, honeyed, coumarin-like undertone. Our exquisite Rose Hydrosol is a certified organic, 100% pure and natural food-grade product that does not contain any additives, preservatives or synthetic substances. This very special hydrosol, contains about 0.10% of Rose essential oil - aka Rose Otto- a remarkably high percentage - as a result of a second distillation called cohobation. Rose oil acts as a natural preservative, and keeps the hydrosol stable and free of microbial contamination for 18 months from the date of production. This is one of the only hydrosols we don’t distill local, but Bulgaria is know for its Roses, and this high quality Hydosol meets our standards.

Rose has a universally balancing action on absolutely all skin. It is nourishing, softening, hydrating, cooling and balancing. Due to its astringency it has long been used for redness in the skin.

Spray morning and evening to freshly cleansed skin before moisturizing. A few rounds of Hydrosol might be needed to saturate the skin, while still damp apply oil or balm. Or mist anytime to refresh your skin and your spirits.

What is a Hydrosol?

Our hydrosols and blends are specifically distilled for the hydrosol, not as a co-product or even a by-product. The plant's cellular water and many components are what we specifically distill for by using only fresh plant material right from our land to ensure that the plant material is as fresh as possible. Most components are lost in typical distillations, lost under pressurized short steam runs for essential oil, or by using dried material.
