Ritual

(p.m.) Massage a generous amount (3-5 pumps) of Oil into DRY skin on top of makeup (if worn). Use fingers in a circular motions, allowing the oil to release everything your skin has faced throughout the day. Move from forehead to closed eyes, then down to the neck, stimulating your lymph system. Use a warm, damp cloth to steam your face for 30 seconds. Wipe gently with both sides of a soft towel. Repeat towel compressions on the face, neck and chest 1-2 more times to stimulate deeper cleansing pathways, relieve muscular tension, and to ensure complete removal, then proceed with Hydrosol.

Perfectly Sized Lipids for Cleansing

Did you know that when it comes to oil cleansers, which oils chosen are key to its cleansing success? Each oil we use was specifically chosen due to the size and shape of its molecular fatty acid chain, which is meant to give the perfect deep pore cleanse. When oil molecules are too large they cannot pull debris from pores as deeply. When oil molecules are too small (like with facial oils and serums) they absorb too rapidly to cleanse and don’t massage easily. The oils chosen for Deep Clarity are a perfect combination for clearing pore debris and removing makeup. I like to think of this cleanser like ‘Oil Pulling’ for your skin.
Pro Tip

Compressing, is when we take a facecloth or towel out of fairly warm water, wring it out, and press into the neck and shoulders then face. This can be a way to remove your cleanser or mask, or used in the morning to prep the skin for morning care products. Compressing is incredibly beneficial for the health of our skin.  It benefits the health of our muscles, circulation, lymph, and our entire nervous system.  All four of those systems directly impact the health of your skin.

Warm compressing is amazing for all skin types including acne. It helps create deep healing, and is probably one of the best treatments for dehydrated sensitive skin. You won’t ever see me recommending an ice bath or any cold tools on the skin! 

I love to repeat this 5 to 6 times while cleaning. It’s one of the most important steps in any skincare regime. They saturate the skin with your Hydrosol and apply a few drop of oil serum to lock all the hydration in.
