This Balm is crafted for truly sensitive, compromised skin types. It helps to calm visible redness and balance irritation, guiding reactive skin back to a state of comfort and radiant health.

There has been some trial and error on this formula, but luckily for me, I have many faces to test my new creations on! This balm was originally created with a few specific clients in mind who were struggling with stubborn, highly reactive skin barriers that resisted standard treatments.

Those of you who experience sudden skin barrier oil flare-ups or extreme sensitivity know how frustrating it is. Finding out what triggers your unique skin reactivity is a major part of the journey. Often, using harsh, stripping cleansers damages the delicate outer barrier, leaving the skin feeling suffocated and hot.
Ingredients

Butyrospermum park (Shea butter), Olea europaea (Olive Oil), Calophyllum inophyllum (Tamanu) oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Macadamia integrifolia (Macadamia Nut)* Punica granatum (Pomegranate Oil)*, Rubus idaeus (Raspberry Seed Oil)*; Rosemary Extract*, house made infusions: of: Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow) root*, Calendula officinalis (Calendula) flower*, Melissa officinalis (Lemon balm)*, Symphtum officinalis (Comfrey)*, Prunella vulgaris (Self Heal)*, Scutellaria (Skullcap)*, Trifolium pretense (Red Clover)*, Stellaria media (Chickweed)*, Achillea millefolium (Yarrow)*, Plantago major (Plantain)*; essential oils of Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender)*, Tanacetum annuum (Blue Tansy)*, Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm)*, Helichrysum italicum (Helichrysum)*

Ritual

Each morning after saturating with hydrosol, apply a peas size evenly to face, neck, and chest. You may apply Serum under the day balm for an added boost. Our Day Balms makes an ideal base for our Dr. Hauschka make-up. Our balm will never clog pores because it contains oils that mimic our skin’s sebum, and are safe over the eyes and lips.

Use within 6 months of opening.

BALM TEXTURE TIP

The following does not apply to whipped balms Do not leave your Balm in a hot location like your car or near a sunny window. Sometimes when balms are heated & cooled, they can develop a gritty texture. This is totally normal, and doesn’t effect the quality. If that happens, place your balm jar (minus the jar lid) on a cookie sheet and place the cookie sheet in the oven. Heat the oven on the lowest setting (at or below 200F) for 5-15 minutes or until fully liquid (no longer than 20 minutes). Carefully remove the cookie sheet (with the balm on it) from the oven (use oven mitts!). Allow the balm to cool on the cookie sheet at room temperature. Make sure to place the cookie sheet on a level spot like a countertop or table so it doesn't spill. Once the balm jar is cool enough to touch comfortably but the balm is still liquid, place the balm jar (minus cookie sheet) in the freezer and place the jar lid on the jar loosely. Allow the balm to harden overnight in the freezer. Then it should be good to go!
Pro Tip

For an added boost of protection, you can mix the Serum with Face Balm, or use our Face Balm over the top of the Serum.

Moisturize in perfect harmony when you use our Face Serum immediately after any of our Hydrosols. You’ll be creating a lotion without the need for emollients as oil and water don’t blend well together. This way you create it yourself by layering, and you get to skip the toxic ingredients. Your skin wants water just as much as it needs oil, and this becomes the perfect light weight blend of hydration and moisturization , that brings out the beauty in every skin type.
