A sunny yellow nourishing day balm. This is our answer to skin in need. Sometimes skin needs a little extra to soothe and protect. Our Wild Rose is formulated to take moisturizing to another level. We have a power house of antioxidants to help combat inflammation, which gives your skin the breathing room it needs in order to focus on healing and repairing itself effectively.

Our Wild Rose balm has antioxidants you can see with a vibrant orange yellow glow that absorbs quickly, leaving your skin with a sheer layer of protection, and soft skin finish. This sunny glow comes from the infused resin-rich calendula flowers and a substantial dose of precious sea buckthorn berry,  calendula CO2 and rose-hip CO2. These plant allies work to speed healing, calm inflammation & soothe redness for exceptional healing magic. Use it on its own, or as an added boost to your face serum. Scented with a hint of vanilla, rose and spice from the local beeswax to create a happy and sweet scent.

**Most of our herbs are wild foraged by us here in Nova Scotia. and the rest come from local farmers or off our property here in Dartmouth. That way we know its picked at its peak growing time and ultimate environment.

Ritual

Each morning after saturating with hydrosol, apply a peas size evenly to face, neck, and chest. You may apply Serum under the day balm for an added boost. Our Day Balms makes an ideal base for our Dr. Hauschka make-up. Our balm will never clog pores because it contains oils that mimic our skin’s sebum, and are safe over the eyes and lips.

Use within 6 months of opening.

BALM TEXTURE TIP

The following does not apply to whipped balms Do not leave your Balm in a hot location like your car or near a sunny window. Sometimes when balms are heated & cooled, they can develop a gritty texture. This is totally normal, and doesn’t effect the quality. If that happens, place your balm jar (minus the jar lid) on a cookie sheet and place the cookie sheet in the oven. Heat the oven on the lowest setting (at or below 200F) for 5-15 minutes or until fully liquid (no longer than 20 minutes). Carefully remove the cookie sheet (with the balm on it) from the oven (use oven mitts!). Allow the balm to cool on the cookie sheet at room temperature. Make sure to place the cookie sheet on a level spot like a countertop or table so it doesn't spill. Once the balm jar is cool enough to touch comfortably but the balm is still liquid, place the balm jar (minus cookie sheet) in the freezer and place the jar lid on the jar loosely. Allow the balm to harden overnight in the freezer. Then it should be good to go!
Pro Tip

For an added boost of protection, you can mix the Serum with Face Balm, or use our Face Balm over the top of the Serum.

Moisturize in perfect harmony when you use our Face Serum immediately after any of our Hydrosols. You’ll be creating a lotion without the need for emollients as oil and water don’t blend well together. This way you create it yourself by layering, and you get to skip the toxic ingredients. Your skin wants water just as much as it needs oil, and this becomes the perfect light weight blend of hydration and moisturization , that brings out the beauty in every skin type.
